CITY SEEKERThe CITY PLACE gelding rated well at Beulah Park on the front end, repelled a bid from the favorite in deep stretch and held away in the final stages winning by 1 1/2L. CHONGO VERDIStalking the pace three wide at Gulfstream Park the GREEN MONKEY gelding moved to take over on the turn, then drew away while bearing out making a win by 3 3/4L in the 6 F event. MONKEY WENCHBreaking sharply to dictate the pace outside the GREEN MONKEY filly put the pace on the outside to a rival on a narrow margin while on her own courage in the opening stages, shifted to the rail once gaining a clear advantage between calls entering the bend and continued with a steady pacing winning by 3 1/2 L at Hawthorne. THE PINK MONKEYThe GREEN MONKEY filly set the pace off the rail rating, opened a long lead while beginning to drift out and held on driving winning by 1 1/4L at Parx. DISTINCT AFFAIRSetting the pace at Oaklawn Park the WITH DISTINCTION filly set three wide turn, moved out widest for the drive under confident handling set down, going away without feeling the whip to win. |
